About

Chloé is a graduate of the Royal College of Art, Communication Art and Design (2007).

THE SKETCH

Her work explores the 'sketch' using an economy of pencil lines and gestural marks to decipher the world. Autonomous yet incomplete, the openness of the sketch allows for infinite possibilities of interpretation and narratives.

She is committed to the materiality of pencil and paper, counter culture to the digital age.

Chloé's drawings communicate an entire world of observations, emotions, perceptions, choices, research of truth, and memories in layers of marks and lines.

REPORTAGE

Her drawings take the form of reportage by documenting in and around a subject, working on site intuitively and perceptively.

MULTI-DISCIPLINARY PROJECTS

Chloé has been commissioned to work with national institutions to explore drawing as a communicative tool (Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of East Asian Art, Natural History Museum). She has exhibited her drawings nationally (Tenderpixel, London, Work Gallery, London, Rabley Drawing Centre) and lectured internationally (Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, London College of Fashion, SGS College).
